At LEAD we are a registered NDIS provider

We are registered to provide services that focus on building individuals skills and capacity. We help people participate in the community such as building life and job skills, attaining a job and transitioning from school.

Empowering Employment Skills

Participating in society through social roles can significantly enhance your quality of life. We are dedicated to helping you become an active citizen by building your skills and capacity for employment. No matter where you are at with your employment journey, we can assist you in setting up how you work in your own way.

How do we support your employment journey?

Our employment assistance for participants includes:

  • Building Essential Skills: We offer training in travel, money, and time management, teamwork, and effective communication in a real-life working environment.

  • Exploring Work Preferences: Through discovery, we help you try and test various employment settings to find what suits you best.

  • Developing Work Skills: We provide opportunities to develop specific vocational skills and apply them in the workplace.

  • Connecting with Employers: We identify suitable employment opportunities and assist in connecting with employers, either directly or through a Disability Employment Service (DES) provider.

  • Customising Jobs and Support: We help tailor job roles to your strengths, support you in learning your role, and establish connections in the workplace.

  • On-the-Job Training and Support: We offer training and intermittent support with daily work tasks, direct supervision, and group-based support to enable meaningful participation at work.

  • Managing Complex Needs: We provide support to manage disability-related behaviour or complex needs at work.

  • Workplace Modifications: We assist in making necessary workplace modifications to ensure you can perform your job effectively and comfortably.

  • Employing You Directly: You are employed directly through LEAD to do a range of jobs for businesses and organisations in the community. A LEAD staff member works with two to three employees to get a specific job done. There are opportunities in industries such as horticulture, commercial cleaning, and customer service.

Our services also support transitions such as:

  • Supplementing School-Based Work Experience: Helping you gain part-time work while completing secondary education.

  • Transitioning from School to Further Education or Training: Assisting with the move from school to higher education or vocational training.

  • Navigating Employment Transitions: Whether it's changing jobs, developing a career plan, or transitioning from supported to open employment, we're here to support you every step of the way.

By partnering with LEAD, you can explore the world of work, manage barriers, and achieve your employment goals. Let's work together to build a fulfilling career and life in your community.

The NDIS offers three categories for support. They are:
